Sources, scope and interpretation
Every diagnostic reference should make clear what it explains and where its applicability ends.
Who publishes OBD Lens?
OBD Lens is a product of Changsha Blue Fox Information Technology Co., Ltd. Company information is available at bluefox.top. Questions and corrections: support@obdlens.com.
Code references
Our reference combines generic and manufacturer-scoped definitions from the production diagnostic library. Three separately authored guides add discussion and public manufacturer sources. Each manufacturer example has a scope note. It is not a universal repair procedure or a diagnosis of your vehicle.
Guides currently cover P0420, P0171 and P0300. Use knowledge search for the complete currently published reference.
Vehicle and PID data
Source revision: legacy-owner-2026-10-09-v81. 23,879 code identifiers; 50,636 scoped definitions. Labels come from the declared production packs and recovered resource names; this is not a claim of manufacturer endorsement or vehicle validation.
Vehicle metadata is projected from the public OBD Lens catalog. Profiles describe connection and data coverage; they do not establish bench or road-test validation. The current snapshot date and revision appear in the directory.
The standard PID library contains 91 direct shared-source definitions. Many entries currently provide their source label and unit only. Enhanced PID meanings and exact profile relationships are available in the enhanced library. Protocol commands and formulas remain private.
Recording analysis
Imported files and pasted reports are processed in your browser. Unavailable data stays distinct from zero. Observed values, timestamps and codes are not an automated root-cause diagnosis.
Supported data formatsCorrections and updates
Send the page URL, relevant code and a public source to support@obdlens.com. Remove personal identifiers and private vehicle records. We check the source and its applicability before changing a guide.
Inventory boundaries
126,640 source signal records are marked runtime-ready; 67 await decoder recovery. 373 action/command records are outside this read-only PID reference. 8 source labels remain unresolved and are excluded from indexing. These states are distinct from physical-vehicle validation.
